Notts County Chairman John Armstrong-Holmes has apologised to supporters who will lose their seats in the Jimmy Sirrel Stand next season as a result of the move to hand the Kop Stand to Magpies fans.

The change will see away supporters housed in X Block of the Jimmy Sirrel Stand from the start of next season, and as a result this will affect Season Ticket holders that have held a seat in the Y North Block of the Stand in recent years.

Those supporters whose seats have been affected have been contacted by letter to explain this decision, and the options open to them in taking up a new seat for next season.

The Chairman said: "I would like to apologise to supporters who are losing their seats as a result of the Kop being taken over by our supporters.

"We understand this may be a disappointment for those who lose their seats, but we hope that they support our decision to open the Kop Stand for home fans."

For matches with a larger away attendance, Notts may need to designate the entire Jimmy Sirrel Stand to away fans. They will be inviting all Jimmy Sirrel Stand Season Ticket holders to select an alternative seat for these matches, which will be booked before the 2008/09 season starts.
