Postman Dons Magpies Socks
Football-mad Postman Phil Underhill took to his usual duties this week sporting a pair of Notts County socks - and we have a picture to prove it!
Phil, from Bristol, works for the Royal Mail as a Postman and has been collecting as many football socks as he can over the last few months and worn them on his daily rounds - initially as a joke, but that has snowballed of late to something of a ritual.
This week Retail Manager Lynn Lawson was only happy to oblige in supplying Phil with a pair of Notts County socks for his rounds, and he was only too kind to provide us with a shot of him proudly wearing this season's away socks to show on nottscountyfc.co.uk.
He explained: "I always wear my shorts during work no matter what the weather and what started off as a bit of a joke when I started wearing football socks with my work boots has now got our office all talking.
"I am trying to get as many different pairs of socks from any Football League team, and as you can see from the picture the Notts County socks look fabulous with my outfit."
As you can see from the picture above, the socks match perfectly with Phil's uniform!
