Busy Time For The Boss
Notts County boss Ian McParland is something of a busy man at this moment in time - but he is relishing every minute.
As well as holding talks with various players and agents about perspective moves to Meadow Lane, McParland is working hard on Notts' pre-season preparations ahead of next season.
With friendly matches to arrange, training and fitness preparations for pre-season and a number of other tasks to complete McParland has endured a busy time since our League Two status was secured towards the end of April with a 1-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers.
Once safety was secured, it was time for McParland to really be able to crack on and prepare for next season.
And while he wishes he could have perhaps had a little longer to do all of that, he certainly isn't complaining.
He explained: "I started the preparations for next season the day after the Wycombe game; my head was straight into it all.
"I would have loved five or six more weeks before the end of the season, but I didn't have that opportunity.
"We just have to cram a lot of work into a small space of time, but we just have to crack on with it.
"It is a busy time now, but I'm relishing it as we prepare for next year."
