Scottish left-back Austin is now in his second season with the Club.
Scotsman Austin joined the Magpies in the summer of 2006 after failing to agree new terms with Boston United, and his performances during his two years at York Street showed enough for Steve Thompson to move swiftly to bring Austin to Meadow Lane.
Austin is a full-back who likes to get forward and provide crosses into the opposition's penalty area, and had began his playing career in Scotland with Airdrie, Hearts and Clyde before moving to Boston in 2004.
'Ozzie' has he is known at Meadow Lane, will be leaving the Club in the summer of 2008 having agreed a two-year pre-contract agreement with Scottish First Division side Dunfermline Athletic from July 2008.
