It was decided in March 2005 that Notts County Football Club would not be continuing to take part in the Pontin's League Reserve Competition from the 2005/06 season onwards, therefore resulting in less Reserve Team matches being played.

The reason for this is due to many clubs re-evaluating the use of Reserve Teams given for the Transfer Window. Several clubs, including Notts County, decided not to play in a formal league, but to arrange games between themselves as and when needed.

The Club has therefore for the last few years been arranging its own Reserve Team fixtures throughout the season, giving as much notice as possible to supporters. Fixtures are looked at on a month-to-month basis, with details to appear on nottscountyfc.co.uk as soon as we have them.
